Optimize System with CCleaner

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It runs on all versions of Windows. Its purpose is to remove unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. CCleaner also cleans online activities such as your Internet history. It's fast (runs in seconds) and doesn't contain any spyware or adware.

I've been using CCleaner for years with good success. It's a quick download and is great for cleaning up a lot of temporary and log files that tend to fill up and clog your hard drive over time.

One feature I like is the ability to selectively get rid of unwanted cookies that accumulate. You may want to keep some cookies for sites you visit frequently and want to be remembered. CCleaner allows you to delete only the unwanted cookies, leaving the cookies you want to keep alone.

The program has frequent updates which can get a little annoying. My guess is you really don't need to download every update. The updates are probably a way of getting you to visit the CCleaner site so you will be exposed to their advertising.
